Designs with the Maximum Number of Clear Two-factor Interactions
In this article, the authors obtain some theoretical results for 2 IV designs to have the maximum number of clear two-factor interactions by considering the number of two-factor interactions that are not clear. Several 2 IV designs with the maximum number of clear two-factor interactions, judged using these results, are provided for illustration.
متن کاملOn blocked resolution IV designs containing clear two-factor interactions
Blocking is an effective method for reducing systematic variations and increasing the precision of effect estimation when the experimental units are not homogeneous. Clear two-factor interactions (2fi’s) can be estimated under the weak assumption that interactions involving three or more factors can be ignored. Some theoretical results on the existence of clear 2fi’s in 2 IV : 2 l designs are o...
متن کاملComparative Study of Anchored Wall Performance with Two Facing Designs
The present study compared the performance of soldier pile and concrete bearing pad anchored wall facings. Using Abaqus finite element software, two case studies have been precisely represented for the facing designs and effects of the parameters of soil type, spacing of anchors and facings, surcharge and facing sizes were investigated. The analysis results indicate that the soldier pile method...
متن کاملA Note on Dominating Fractional Factorial Two-Level Designs With Clear Two-Factor Interactions
This note builds on results from Wu, Mee and Tang‘s (2012) article (henceforth WMT) on admissible fractional factorial two-level designs, specifically concentrating on the “dominating designs” that have been introduced but not further pursued in WMT. WMT’s work has been used for increasing the efficiency of the author’s graph-based algorithm for creation of minimum aberration designs that keep ...
متن کاملCook’s Collage: Two Exploratory Designs
Gathered from observations and studies of how people busily manage tasks amidst distractions, forgetfulness, and multitasking in their homes, we identify two common cooking predicaments. We introduce Cook’s Collage, a context-aware system that passively displays recent activities. We posit that a cook, by glancing at these visual cues, can easily resume his task following an interruption when h...
